For the past five years at Cloudflare, I've had the privilege of working as a Principal Solutions Engineer, focusing on some of our largest customers and their most complex infrastructure challenges. My background in computer science has given me a deep appreciation for the architectural shifts required to move from rigid hardware to flexible, cloud-native services. Through a close partnership with our Product and Engineering teams, I was fortunate to be involved with the pioneering of the solution this talk is about. I personally guided one of the first customers through this journey, helping them migrate from on-prem F5s that couldn't scale to an integrated Cloudflare security model that solved their critical downtime issues. I am grateful to be considered for Connect. Having presented this topic to several customers already, I've seen how much it resonates. I believe that formalizing this content would not only create a valuable session for attendees, but would also build a great asset for the broader Cloudflare team to use after the event.
