World Champion Alpine Ski Racer, Olympic Gold Medalist, Public Speaker
Picabo is widely recognized as one of the most iconic figures in U.S. skiing history. Spending eight seasons on the World Cup circuit, she tallied 17 podium finishes, with 15 of those being in the Women’s Downhill. She has numerous Olympic and World Championship medals, including a gold in the Women’s Super-G from the 1998 Winter Games. After overcoming what could have been a career ending injury, Picabo retired from ski racing on home snow at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
With a philanthropic mindset and a passion to help others, Picabo has made it her mission to give back to her sport and her community. As the founder of Picabo’s Street of Dreams Foundation, and co-founder of the Picabo Street Academy, she has given numerous children and young adults the chance to chase their dreams.
Picabo is also recognized as a credible and authentic brand spokesperson. She has partnered with leading industry corporations such as Nike, Kellogg’s, Panasonic, Ralph Lauren, Spyder, Chapstick and more. Her vast television/broadcasting experience has come from working with leading entities NBC, CBS, OLN and RSN. Most recently, Picabo has been a sports commentator for NBC covering alpine races across the globe. She currently lives in Park City, Utah, with her three sons and is an active member of the US Ski and Snowboard Team.
