VB brings 15+ years of networking and security experience spanning Cloudflare, Cisco, Lumen, and American Express. As a CISSP-certified practitioner who transitioned from strategic solutions engineering into product marketing, he has a rare combination of hands-on technical depth and market storytelling ability. At Cloudflare, VB leads the security modernization narrative across SASE, AI security, and application protection — and has built working prototypes on the developer platform to prove every claim he makes on stage. He presented on Zero Trust for AI and securing MCP communications at Cloudflare Connect 2025, and co-authored a book on AI-native LLM security. He holds an M.S. in Telecommunications from CU Boulder and an MBA from UIUC.
